Obsidian vault demo
Notes already have structure: headings mark where one idea ends and the next begins. This page splits each note along its headings, labels every chunk with its note and section, and lets you compare that against blind fixed-size chunking. Your vault never leaves this browser tab.
1 Add a vault
Drop your vault folder, or choose it. Only .md notes are read; hidden folders such as .obsidian are skipped. Folder drop needs a desktop browser. Your browser may say "upload": the files stay local.
2 See how the notes get chunked
Pick a strategy. Both are computed from the same notes, so the numbers below compare them directly.
3 Ask your vault
The first search embeds every chunk, which takes a while for a big vault. After that, searches are instant.
4 Retrieved chunks
Top three matches for each method. Click a result to open its note above.
